A Thai cooking experience in a traditional home
Siamese Cookery House Bangkok takes you beyond a typical cooking class. Set inside a more than 100-year-old traditional Thai house in the Huai Khwang area, the school offers a warm, home-like atmosphere where you can learn authentic Thai cooking while meeting fellow travelers.
Your experience begins at a local market, where you'll explore the sights, smells and flavors of Thai ingredients with your instructor. Morning and afternoon classes include a one-hour tuk-tuk market tour to shop for the ingredients you'll use later in the kitchen.
Back at the cookery house, you'll learn how to prepare fresh coconut milk from scratch and pound fresh curry pastes using a traditional mortar and pestle before cooking your dishes.
